Terms and Conditions
By proceeding with your booking at Byfield Cabins, you agree to the following terms and conditions regarding your stay and participation in optional on-site activities. These terms and conditions apply to bookings you make with us over the phone, via chat, email, in-person or online, as well as third parties such as other agent bookings on behalf of their clients. We will rely on the authority of the person making the booking to act on behalf of any other person on the booking and that person will bind all such persons to these terms and conditions.
Check-in and Check-out
Check-in time is from 2:00 PM-6:00PM.
Check-out is by 10:00 AM.
Late check-outs may incur additional fees unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Guest Responsibilities & Property Use
Guests agree to use the premises, and all facilities provided in a respectful and responsible manner. Any intentional or negligent damage to the property, furniture, or equipment may result in additional charges to cover repair or replacement costs. Guests must follow all posted rules, including those relating to fire safety, water use, and noise levels.
Smoking and Pets
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cabins. A cleaning fee may be applied for non-compliance.
Pets are not permitted on the property. Please note that the owners may have their own animals on-site, but guest animals are not allowed under any circumstances.
Privacy and Personal Information
Byfield Cabins collects personal information as part of the booking process. This information is used solely to manage your reservation and comply with legal obligations. We do not share your data with third parties, except as required by law.
Weather Conditions and Force Majeure
Byfield Cabins reserves the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to severe weather events, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, a full refund or alternative dates will be offered.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
Any cancellations or date changes for bookings must be requested by email to stay@byfieldcabins.com.au or by calling 0455 667 766.
Cancellations received within 24 hours of your scheduled stay are eligible for a full refund, less a 2% processing fee. Alternatively, you may reschedule your booking to a later date at no additional charge.
Where applicable, refunds will be processed back to your original method of payment. Please note that credit card fees are non-refundable.
INDEMNITY AND RELEASE AGREEMENT
Acknowledgment of Risk
- Participation in activities at Byfield Cabins, including but not limited to bushwalking, swimming, kayaking, wildlife interactions, bicycle riding, use of the swimming pool, and use of fire pits (“Activities”), is entirely voluntary, self-directed, and provided at no additional charge.
- These Activities are unsupervised and may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, drowning, burns, collision, falls, or wildlife encounters.
- While some safety equipment (e.g., lifejackets, helmets) may be available, it is your responsibility to use appropriate safety gear at all times.
- The swimming pool is unsupervised, and you are responsible for your own safety when using the pool.
- Use of fire pits carries inherent fire and burn risks and must be conducted responsibly, following all posted safety instructions and fire restrictions.
- Byfield Cabins, its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates (“Released Parties”) make no representations or warranties regarding the safety of the Activities.
Release and Indemnity
By confirming your booking, you:
- Release and forever discharge the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from or related to your participation in the Activities, except where such liability cannot be excluded under Queensland or Australian Consumer Law.
- Indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, or losses (including legal fees) arising from your participation in the Activities.
- Assume full responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss you may suffer while engaging in the Activities.
Health and Safety Declaration
You declare that:
- You are in good health and have no medical conditions that would prevent you from safely participating in the Activities.
- You will follow all safety instructions and signage provided by Byfield Cabins.
- You understand and agree that:
- A lifejacket must be worn at all times when kayaking or engaging in water-based activities.
- A helmet must be worn when riding a bicycle on, around or external to the premises.
- Safe behaviour is required at all times when using the swimming pool, including no diving or running near the pool area.
- Fire pits must be used with extreme care, and you must follow all safety signage and government fire restrictions at the time of your stay.
- You accept full responsibility for assessing your ability to safely participate in any activity.
Legal Age and Understanding
- You confirm that you are over 18 years of age.
- You acknowledge that this is an adults-only retreat and that no children are permitted on-site.
- You have read and understood this Indemnity and Release Agreement and acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to seek independent legal advice before proceeding with your booking.
Acceptance of Terms
By proceeding with your booking, including selecting the checkbox online, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, including the Indemnity and Release Agreement.
